Sunlight #15

Our two lovely ladies have just returned from a holiday abroad! And by that, I mean I have. Though this is one of the many reasons for my absence as of late.

After my announced hiatus, I failed a test that my employment depended on, and it left me in an emotionally stressful place. It was only a couple days later that I was set to leave for Florida with my family for about two weeks, which I desperately needed to take my mind off things.

Unfortunately for me, the last day spent there, we ate at a roadside diner, which resulted in me having terrible food poisoning. I’ll save you the lovely details, but to make a long story short, the doctors believed I had been infected with (in my opinion a mild form of) gastroenteritis. For the sake of those of you who are squeamish, do yourself a favour and don’t google that.

Anyway, it took around a week for me to recover, and now by all accounts I’m back to normal. I managed to pass my test after a second round (while sick no less) and am now in the middle of further training before I’m left with a mentor till I go independent.

That being said, things are still fairly rough for me at the moment. Circumstances have made me something of an empty shell, and I’m having difficulty really getting a grasp on some personal issues. I’ll save you the sob story, and can only promise that I’ll get back to you with more Sunlight soon enough.
